The winning streak continues into its fifth season for the Aluminos brand. Since its debut in 2013, the Aluminos chassis has continued to win at the local, regional and national levels. The new partnership with Musgrave Racing Company (MRC) has already put the Aluminos chassis in new garages and trailers for the new year, with high expectations for more victories and championships. Thanks to a solid start to the 2017 season, Aluminos is looking to extend the momentum built from wins at the California ProKart Challenge and the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour.

The California ProKart Challenge opened up its 2017 season at the Buttonwillow Raceway Park on February 4. Helping to put Aluminos on top of the podium was S1 Pro Stock Honda driver Billy Musgrave, the lead driver for the MRC operation. Musgrave finished inside the top-10 in his Aluminos debut at the SKUSA SuperNationals 20. Billy was strong at the series opener, going on to win both heat races and led all 15 laps of the main event for the victory and championship lead. The S1 category was swept by the Aluminos brand with class rookie Hunter Pickett securing the fast time in qualifying aboard his Pickett Racing entry.

Solid Close to 2016 Gives Bright Future for Aluminos Chassis

The Aluminos name has been around North American karting for nearly a decade now, with owner Rob Soares involved in the sport much longer than that with other business ventures within the industry. When the Aluminos chassis made its debut in 2013, it quickly gained victories at the regional and national level. Soares himself piloted the chassis to victory at their home track in Sonoma, California while Kiwi Daniel Bray gave the brand its first SKUSA Pro Tour victory. Later that year, Kiwi Matthew Hamilton notched the first SKUSA SuperNationals triumph for the brand.

Team Aluminos is constantly among the top contenders at the major karting events in North America, including victories at the SKUSA Pro Tour, SKUSA SuperNationals, and others over the last few seasons. One event that continues to elevate in the western half of the United States is the Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix. Each year, Aluminos has fought for victories and came away with the headline victory in 2015. Another solid driver roster for Team Aluminos traveled to the southern California city for the September 24-25 event, serving as the California ProKart Challenge finale. Once again, Aluminos was at the top edge of the fields with Kiwi driver Matt Hamilton defending his victory from 2015. A second victory was added by returning driver Jonathan Allan in S4 Super Master with Jason Pettit placing runner-up in S2.
